Hmmm, seems I spoke too soon. Coming back from D.C., I got pulled out of line by a security person who didn’t even try to fake any look at my ticket (to see if I was flagged like the other people that got sent over to the security area by the gate). I was pretty annoyed. There was no explanation for pulling me out of line except my skin color, and that should never be. It’s poor security in principle… there are light-skinned muslims, if we’re just picking on them these days, and definitely other terrorist groups that would like to hijack a plane. Terrorists have used white surrogates to carry bombs onto planes), and it violates everything that makes America America. What was even more ironic was that it was a black male who pulled me out of the line. One would think that he would have some respect for the downsides of racial profiling.
