Finally, after way too freaking long, Buraka Som Sistema has released their latest album, Black Diamond. The song above, Sound of Kuduro is by far the best on the album, but there are some other nice gems on here. MIA is featured on several tracks, and the rhythm is just addicting. I cannot sit still when this is on.

Check these guys out: Venus Hum — who are, to my astonishment, American! Their music is like Bjork meets Swing Out Sister in Euro Pop. I like it much. Immensely hummable (!) and lush sound. Check them out.
They’ve been compared to Departure Lounge, fyi.

You rock Chavvi, very catchy band! I like the Montana song. I cannot help but comment though on the bio page. It was mildly amusing that there were about 4 paragraphs talking about the girl singer, and maybe 2 paragraphs or so on the other two members… What was even funnier were the sort of random comments on her fasion sense. Anyhow, cool songs.
