O’Reilly, publisher of popular (and usually very good) technology books, is sponsoring a Mac OS X Innovators Contest. It’s an open contest with prizes for first place totalling about 5K.
The neat thing about the prizes is that they’re really ideal for new shareware writers and small independent software vendors because getting to WWDC and having early access to Apple products is a great stepping stone into becoming a better Mac OS X programmer. These are all things I would pay for if I had more money.
So, clearly, I’m going to try to get something written in time to enter. Only 2 weeks left. I wonder if I really can code fast enough for this, though…
