Apparently, the state of Arkansas is willing to treat their insane patients enough to make them sane enough for execution. All sorts of interesting ethical questions in this. For example, if you’re a doctor (and have sworn to do no harm), do you treat a patient on death row knowing that your treatment will lead to the patient’s eventual death? (I don’t think it’s especially that hard… I mean, your treatment does not ultimately cause their death… you’re making them healthy… the state is then taking this healthy person and killing them).
