This was sent to me by my sister, Payal. An op-ed by Thomas L. Friedman in the New York Times suggests that India should replace France as a permanent member of the U.N. security council. While I think that we wouldn’t miss France, putting India on the council is a unique idea. I wonder how Pakistan would feel? Then I wonder what impact that would have on the other Muslim countries in the world.

Friedman’s points are interesting, especially if, for some reason, you enjoy bashing France. He really doesn’t like France much at all.
