I’ve been hooked on In The Car (lyrics) by the Barenaked Ladies. All these old, weird memories of high school and college, growing up, and dating. Songs like this make me wish I had some musical talent…
Now, if I could just find my Yoko Ono, I could give up my, um… musical genius.

I happen to like BNL, but that whole album was just one giant Pop-fest. It was so sad. I loved their other albums. Gordon was the best, by far (New kid on the block), but the whole Stunt Album was just sad, and Maroon was even worse. It was really sad.

the sound was clearly popfest album, but the lyrics were still uniquely BNL. At least, for many of the songs. Some were genericish.
